Basements vary in cost depending on the amenities. Basic build outs (no bathroom, kitchen, theater room, bars) will average $18 per foot and up. Custom build outs will average $30 per foot and up. Basement cost will be determined at your in home consultation.

Your basic build out will take between 4-5 weeks. Custom build outs will take a few week longer depending on the amenities that you choose.

Yes, you need a building, fire, electric and or plumbing permit. TB will send you a detailed package for submission to your local municipality. Then during the project we will call each time an inspection is required and let you know when inspectors will arrive.  

NO.   State law requires egress only if you are having a bedroom or full kitchen put in your new basement. Contact your local municipality for verification.

Yes, there are many products specially designed for finishing basements to make them warm, dry and healthy. When we meet, we will discuss in detail how we will build your basement to achieve a warm, cozy, and healthy environment.

yes, finishing your basement creates dust.  Totally Basements take extra care to reduce the amount of dust that can travel to the rest of the house. We seal off the basement and create a negative air flow by using a negative air machine that pulls fresh air through the project area and pushes the dusty air outside of the house. At the end of each day we will broom sweep your basement to ensure the cleanest possible working environment.
